Levels Explained
Level 1/2: Beginners
This is where the journey begins! From learning how to fall safely to finding their balance, beginners experience the excitement (and challenges) of staying steady on the board. With guidance from coaches—and sometimes parents—these classes are a lively mix of learning and fun.
Children will focus on 1-2 simple tricks, practicing repeatedly until they feel confident in their abilities. Throughout, we ensure they have fun because skateboarding is ultimately about enjoying the ride!
Class size: 8–10 kids, with 2 coaches and optional parent support.
Special Note: If you feel your child isn’t getting the attention they need or has specific goals, please let the coach know. The park can be busy and demanding, so your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated as we strive to provide the best experience.
Level 2/3: Advanced
At this stage, your child is becoming a confident skater. They’re learning new tricks, taking calculated risks, and building independence. While coaches provide guidance and physical support, the focus shifts toward students taking responsibility for their practice and progress.
By now, skaters should know which tricks they’re working on and take ownership of their improvement.
Class size: 10–20 skaters, with 1 instructor.
Level 4/5/6: Advanced & Competitive
At this level, your child is a highly skilled skater who may be ready to join The Squad and participate in competitions. The emphasis transitions from teaching to consistent practice and refinement. Coaches perform spot checks and provide feedback, but students are expected to take charge of their training while still enjoying the process.
Squad
Think of The Squad as the skateboarding equivalent of competitive sports teams. This elite group is for passionate skaters who live and breathe skateboarding. These students demonstrate dedication, focus, and a deep love for the sport. Joining The Squad is an honor, and not everyone will qualify—it’s reserved for those who are truly committed to excellence.
